Independent DofE Centre's in Surrey was formed in November 2009 having been formerly managed by Surrey County Council Youth Development Service.
- IDCiS is registered as a Voluntary Organisation and is a "Not for Profit" organisation.
- IDCiS provides the opportunity for young people to take part in the Duke of Edinburgh Award at Bronze, Silver and Gold levels.
- IDCiS in particular offers dedicated Expedition training for all levels of the DofE.
- All staff have completed an Enhanced Criminal Record Check.
- IDCiS follows the Outdoor Education Advisers Panel - National Guidance. https://oeapng.info/ which specifies instructor qualifications, ratios etc. for all types of off-site visits.
